Stay-at-Home Mom Turned Business Woman

Kristi Mabry, a woman of vision, started Talloni in Greer, South Carolina almost four years ago. Kristi made the decision to be a fulltime mom until her two daughters were mostly grown, but she harbored the deep desire to own her own business. When the right time came along, she diverted empty nest syndrome with her very own shoe store. She wasn’t necessarily looking to dive into footwear, but after researching the area, she decided it was something the women of Greer and its surrounding counties needed. Fortunately, for Greer they were experiencing a planned revitalization of the downtown area. Kristi could see that a high end shoe salon would fit right in with the shops that were opening, and she was on her way. As a talented multi-tasker, Kristi had the experience of many volunteer hours to mold her into a business woman. The financial experience and background of her husband was something she had paid close attention to for years, and that education was instrumental in helping her understand the business model. Kristi feels that women often underestimate their own business abilities. She states, “If you can endure raising your children, you certainly can endure whatever walks through the door.” It is an interesting statement coming from a woman who treats each customer as family and spends time making personal phone calls to hard-to-fit customers when something comes in that will work for them. She has an innate fashion perspective and understands what women what. “Women hate to be sold but they love to buy”. Her creativity and her enthusiasm for what she does is infectious and that’s why everyone love’s TALLONI.

TALLONI sold its first franchise in Ashville, NC in the Biltmore Estates area. The store has been open for two year and is doing very well. For more information about franchising call Kristi Mabry at 864-415-2100.
